Obama And Russian Hacks. What Should He Have Done?

So much was already written about whether Russia hacked the US elections or not. Did they influence them? Common thinking is: of course they did. But there is still no concrete proof. Washington Post journalists take us through months of Obama's administration trying to figure out what to do with the threat. Looking for proof, talking directly to Putin and in the end ...

Huge article. More like a small book. Take your time.

After it, there is an interesting comment to the article on Medium by Nicholas Grossman: "What Should Obama Have Done About Russian Hacking?"

And ... in December 2016, the New York Times also covered this topic but from a different angle: "The Perfect Weapon: How Russian Cyberpower Invaded the U.S." by Eric Lipton, David E. Sanger and Scott Shane. It's actually quite frightening to see how long the penetration of Democratic Comittee lasted, and how easy it was (in once case by silly mistake!) to hack employees' email and get the emails that later on were leaked.
